What could be more fitting than to start our more regular blog posting on Easter Sunday?! And not just because of our cool egg people at the top of the page…
We had a great day today. The children woke up to the Easter Bunny having left them a nice set of baskets and they enjoyed all of their loot. I must say that I think I have the most giving children in the universe. As they opened their treats, every time they would come up with more than one of the same item they would give it away…for example, If Maria found two lollipops in her basket, you would hear: “Here, this one’s for me, this one’s for Sarah!” It was adorable. I actually had to stop them from giving away their treats and prizes since they all had plenty and didn’t need to share…imagine that! I am very proud of my kids and how well they share and behave as a whole. They are kind and generous and quickly realize that if they have more than one thing they can share it with each other or even friends/family who aren’t even here. I hope those kinds of traits continue to show as they grow. I am blessed to have four of the sweetest little people alive.
We had a great day today - though we weren’t able to make it to church, we spent the day with my dad and his family. The kids got to do an egg hunt in the front yard, then we had a nice meal and the bigger kids went swimming while Maria went out with her Aunt Britney. Maria is very attached to Britney right now - and it’s adorable but has it’s faults as well. Maria gets very sad when Britney leaves, she is a total drama queen and fusses and whines and even cries because she wanted to give her one more kiss. It’s hilarious to me - but that’s because I am the one dealing with her divaness when Aunt Britney leaves. Little does Maria know that Britney is going to Thailand for 18 days as of tomorrow!!! Sorry Ria, she’ll be back soon!
Mommy plans to keep her busy, she won’t even notice the time has passed. ;)
So as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus today, it is my prayer that His love and mercy be renewed in the lives of everyone who reads our blog. Happy Easter!
More to come soon…including egg hunt pictures and Elisa’s spring school portraits. Stay tuned!!!
